RS232 Board
EWS RS232 Board
Overview:
Our RS232 Board shifts RS232 signal levels to 3.3V or 5V levels usable by a microcontroller or other 3.3V or 5V device. This board utilizes the EXAR SP3232EB "True +3.0V to +5.5V RS-232” Transceiver (Driver outputs will meet levels of +/-3.7V with supply voltages of 2.7V, too), and offers TWO RS232 Tx/Rx channels.
Very simple to get up and running - just hook up applicable power supply (3.3V or 5V) and ground, connect the proper Tx and Rx pins to your device, plug in an RS232 cable to the DB9 port (or use the header strip on the board, if preferred) and you're ready to transmit and receive.
Features:
- Operating Voltage: 3.3V-5V
- Current Consumption: 12-15mA (typical)
- RS232 Tx/Rx Channels: 2
- 0.100" Spaced Pins
- Board Size: 1.063" x 1.181" (27mm x 30mm)
